On Friday, September 27, youth around the world have asked that parents, adults, members of faith communities, and the general public join them in a global strike for climate action. Join youth worker Shanna Bernier the Sunday before, around 1 p.m., on September 22 at Plymouth-Trinity United Church (corner of Terrill and Dufferin):

Shanna writes: “I am going to gather folks to make a plan and make protest signs. No need to be a churchy person, but gathering is fun and my office is in that building! Bring snacks to share and craft supplies.”

Use the side or back door, and ring the bell!

The United Church of Canada has published some ideas and tips : Fridays for Future is a youth-led movement.

November 1 to 3 at Union United Church in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue.

Contact regional youth Shanna Bernier for more information... Get in touch with the P-T secretary’s office for contact info.

Rendez-vous brings together youth (entering grade 9 and up to any age), young adults, and their leaders from across the country for a celebration of vibrant music, inspiring speakers, and dancing like there is no tomorrow. At this three-day event, you will
celebrate the bold faith of The United Church of Canada with hundreds of your new best friends
explore how brave space creates opportunities to learn, to share, and to celebrate new relationships
experience the brazen grace of a living community of hope and inclusion.

The next Rendez-Vous will be held from August 11 to 14, 2020 (next year!), at the University of Calgary.

Organizers are already recruiting for Home group leaders and workshop leaders. You’ll find more details here.

Call for nominations

The General Council Nominations Committee has launched a call for nominations for several vacancies.

People across the church are invited to express their interest, or nominate others who have the gifts to serve well in these leadership roles. The Nominations Committee welcomes hearing from anyone, and particularly encourages those from groups which have been traditionally marginalized in our church, including (but not limited to) youth and young adults, Indigenous and racialized members, those active in francophone ministry, and people who identify as disabled.

You can find United Church job and volunteer opportunities here. Check back regularly!

Children at P-T

Join us at Plymouth-Trinity for a family-friendly worship experience. Many Sundays feature a carefully planned children's church program, intended for those 3 and up. We also have a children's corner in the sanctuary with craft supplies and helpful volunteers for younger children, and for all kids on the Sundays when there is no children's church. Check the calendar elsewhere on this website to find out the schedule!

Bicycle Path

A reminder to please make sure your car does not cross the yellow lines outlining the bike path in the church parking lot.
